Tammy and I want to share some things with all of you regarding the status of our youth group. We took on the role of leading youth group about a year ago. It has been a blessing to get to know them all better and to interact with them regarding their walks with God.
It was our intent from the beginning to pass leadership off as soon as we could find someone willing and help them make the transition into that role. Several months ago, we came to the conclusion that we needed to be done leading the youth even though we still had not found someone to take over. We continued though the Kingdom Bound trip still hoping that we could find a couple to take over for us.
As of right now we still haven't found anyone to take over the leadership of the youth group. We continue to be praying for new leaders and for our young people. Yet we still believe that our time of leading is done.
So, as of right now, since we do not have leaders for the youth group, there will not be youth group activities. There is a youth Sunday School class for our young people (8th - 12th grade) on Sundays taught by Jeff and Sarah Gleason. We would encourage the youth to attend the class as it provides an opportunity to interact with one another and to grow in their walk with God.
We continue to pray for new leaders and for the overall direction of what youth ministry looks like in these days. Please pray for the ministry. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to us.
